Delightful Sidoarjo

Growing up in Sidoarjo has made me fall in love with this city. There are many reasons why Sidoarjo is so delightful. Sidoarjo is located in southern Surabaya, the capital city of East Java Province. It only takes few minutes from Surabaya. Although it is not as big as Surabaya, Sidoarjo isn’t too much different with Surabaya. Bunch of offered facilities have made people choose this city to live in. Sidoarjo has complete public areas, such as marketplaces, sports facilities, restaurants, amusement places –shopping centers, swimming pools- , fine schools, hospitals, and so on. Sidoarjo also has some transportation terminals that make it’s so reachable, such as Juanda Airport (Most of people think if it’s in Surabaya. In fact, it’s located in suburban area in western Sidoarjo), Bungurasih Bus Terminal, and some train stations.

Sidoarjo has many special products that make this city different with others. Sidoarjo people have successfully processed their biggest nature commodities –shrimp and milkfish- into delicious food and spices. Smoked milkfish, dried shrimp –common known as ebi-, shrimp paste or petis, and terasi are the examples. Sidoarjo has other commodities. They are bags and shoes. Bags center is in Tanggulangin. We can find a lot of bags stores along Tanggulangin road. Shoes center is in Wedoro. Many shoes stores spread in this small village. Shopping heavens for ladies. From my explanation above, it’s not too much if I said: Sidoarjo is so delightful, isn’t it?
